Arizona football coach Kevin Sumlin said on Friday he’d likely be back on the practice field on Monday. Well, he’s back!
Sumlin, who had been diagnosed with COVID-19 last week, returned on Monday afternoon.
He had been under quarantine since his positive test early last week. He missed Arizona’s first two practices (Friday, Saturday). He said he was symptom free last week.
“Seeing my head coach out there brings a lot of energy,” said UA linebacker Anthony Pandy on a Zoom interview with local reporters. “He’s the head coach of course. He know how to control the practice more when he is there compared to when he’s not there.”
Arizona is preparing for its season-opener on Nov. 7.
