Wings Over Broadway High School Sports Preview Show With Walden Grove Coach Corey Noble

AllSportsTucson.com’s weekly High School Sports Preview Show at Wings Over Broadway on Thursday included guest Corey Noble, who is in his fourth season as Walden Grove’s high school football coach.

Fellow AST staff member Troy Hutchison and I first discussed today’s games — Buena (2-0) at Salpointe (1-0), Pusch Ridge (2-1) at Safford (2-0) and Casa Grande (2-1) traveling to Eloy Santa Cruz (2-0) for a cross-sectional game tomorrow night.

The Cougars and Dust Devils are meeting after Casa Grande’s scheduled game at Scottsdale Desert Mountain tonight was canceled because of COVID-19 concerns.

I then interviewed Noble about his reaction to the Sahuarita School District being the first last Friday to start a wave of Southern Arizona districts and schools that have decided to move on with football starting next week.

The only remaining schools without a plan to move on with football are those in TUSD and the Sunnyside and Catalina Foothills districts. Those districts will determine the fate of football at their schools in board meetings on Tuesday.

Here are the videos of our show on Thursday at Wings Over Broadway, voted to have the best wings in Tucson by The Tucson Weekly and Arizona Daily Star for eight consecutive years.
