Salpointe junior Antonio Martinez was all over the field for the Lancers in their 37-6 win over Buena at home Friday night. Martinez pulled down a 26-yard touchdown pass, came up with an interception, blocked a field goal and he helped limit the Colts to 50 yards passing from his DB position.
For his efforts, Martinez earned APS Digital Print Player of the Week honors and he will receive the Frog & Firkin Football for his teammates to sign as the player of the week is seen as a team award.

Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014, he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017, a 2019 AZ Education News award winner and he has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years.
