Buena OT Dominic Avant commits to Sioux Falls

The University of Sioux Falls, a successful NCAA Division II program in South Dakota, has now landed two of Southern Arizona’s top Class of 2021 prospects.

Buena offensive tackle Dominic Avant committed to the Cougars today, joining CDO defensive end/linebacker Chase Randall, who made his pledge to that program on Sept. 2.

Avant, 6-foot-4 and 340 pounds, came on strong the last two years of his varsity career for Buena and coach Joe Thomas. He was invited to play in the prestigious Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in Arlington, Texas, after the season.

“It just felt like the right decision to make,” Avant said of his decision to play at Sioux Falls. “That’s the place that’s going to get me better academically and athletically. I am very excited to be a Coo!”
