Arizona’s hottest hitter, Branden Boissiere, went 3-for-5 with three singles and an RBI. Jacob Berry went 2-for-5 with two singles. They are a sure one-two punch in the lineup.
After scoring one in the third, Arizona (20-8, 6-4 Pac-12) would then score four in the fifth on four straight hits which included a crucial double by Ryan Holgate which scored Boissiere and Jacob Blas. Daniel Susac followed with a single driving in Holgate.
California left runners in scoring position throughout the game and didn’t score until the eighth inning on two walks and a single.
