The University of Arizona announced Jack Murphy will stay on Tommy Lloyd’s coaching staff.
It was announced on Monday afternoon. Murphy’s appointment is the first of what could be two or three announcements involving the UA basketball program under Lloyd, who was named head coach last week.
In his initial press conference, Lloyd said his coaching staff would have Arizona “flavor” on his coaching staff. Murphy was part of Lute Olson’s administration more than 20 years ago and is the former head coach at Northern Arizona.
“There isn’t another school in the country my wife and I would leave NAU for,” Murphy said when he was hired at UA back in 2019. “Being an Arizona Wildcat, it’s in the fabric of who you are always.”
