Youth baseball in Vail continued to flex its muscle over the weekend with the Vail Rebels 10U club baseball team earning the gold-bracket National Championship Sports (NCS) championship of the Beat the Heat tournament at Show Low.
The Rebels’ 9U team took home the silver-bracket championship.
The Rebels 10U team includes members of the Rincon Little League 8-9-10 and 9-10-11 teams that have reached the Arizona Little League state tournaments that start this week.
The team went 4-0 in the two-day tournament at Show Low and outscored opponents 58-2.
