July 21, 2021: THE DAY IS HERE! I REPEAT.. IT IS HERE!

As my alarm went off this morning, my eyes opened with pure excitement. Yes, there are little bits of nerves. But that’s natural, it comes with any competition! There is a calm/excited vibe throughout the team. I believe that is here because we are PREPARED! We have clocked the hours, been away from loved ones for over half the year and showed this pandemic that it can’t stop this DREAM!

The messages I have received, the undying support from my family and my squad. You guys are amazing. This day would not be here without you guys! I can’t name names because that would be the entire journal entry, but if your stomach flutters like mine is right now then you know you were apart if my journey, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I tried to make this morning like any other morning. Braided some of my teammates hair, watched some TV and had a quality breakfast. I feel so great getting on the bus. We are headed out to warm ups. I know it’s a late one today BUT I encourage every single reader, fan of softball or sports fanatic to TUNE IN! Team Canada is about to do something really special.

I’ll be back in a couple hours… until then, GO CANADA!

Me again! If you didn’t catch the game you missed a GREAT TEAM WIN! Team Canada won 4-0 over Team Mexico and starting off strong 1-0 in the tournament! Great pitching, hitting and defense across the board! I can’t say it enough this team is so darn special!

Tomorrow we are playing USA- I know a lot of you guys may think you want to cheer for them BUT cheering for Team C might be the better option! Thanks for tuning in today, I cannot wait what day 2 brings! Cracking a Coke Zero and signing of for today!

Until tomorrow… and as always GO CANADA!
