Thursday’s opener pitting Pueblo at Sahuaro as part of the Coaches for Charity event has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocol, Sahuaro athletic director Steve Botkin confirmed.
The game has been rescheduled for Oct. 29 at Sahuaro. Both teams originally had that as an open date.
The other Coaches for Charity season-opening game scheduled for Thursday — Flowing Wells at Amphi — remains as planned. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
Sahuaro is now scheduled to open at Phoenix Arcadia on Sept. 10, and Pueblo is slated to begin its season on that date at Rincon/University.
