The Dorados, the No. 12 seed, will play at No. 5 Lake Havasu on Friday in the opening round.
CDO, under 13-year coach Dustin Peace, started the season 0-3 but finished strong to have a 6-4 record. The Dorados have only eight seniors on their roster.
Mica Mountain, in its first varsity season under Pat Nugent, came close to qualifying for the state playoffs but finished rated at No. 17, one spot from qualifying. The Thunderbolts, a team stacked with sophomores and juniors, will be a force to be reckoned with starting next season.
Catalina Foothills, the 4A Gila champions, finished No. 21 and out of the bracket of 16 teams. Daniel Sainz coached the Falcons to a 6-4 record in his first season.
