4A Kino Region: Salpointe can clinch Wednesday but all five teams have playoff hopes

Sahuaro beat Pueblo 67-51 to improve to 8-3 in power-ranking games and 2-2 in the 4A Kino Region. The Cougars started the night ranked No. 10 in the 4A Conference and Pueblo (9-5) hosted as the No. 16 team. All five member schools of the Kino Region are currently ranked high enough to qualify for the play-in tournament with No. 3 Salpointe (12-0) ranked high enough to advance directly to the state tournament slated to start on Tuesday, Feb. 15…

Andy was named an Honorary Flowing Wells Caballero in 2019, became a member of the Sunnyside Los Mezquites Cross Country Hall of Fame in 2021 and he was a member of the Amphi COVID-19 Blue Ribbon Committee and he earned a Distinguished Service Award from Amphitheater.
