The RSL-AZ Southern AZ 08 team rallied from a 1-0 deficit at halftime against Boston NEFC NS Girls 2008 by scoring three goals in the second half.

Madyn Allen, Jhianae DesRosier and Luz Mendoza scored the three goals for Paul DesRosier’s team. Jhianae is his youngest daughter who will be a freshman at Salpointe this fall.

“(Boston) was a high-quality team and they had us a little on our heels in the first half,” Paul DesRosier stated. “At halftime, we made adjustments to our formation and attacking movements and were simply too much for them.”

The RSL-AZ Southern AZ 06 team was in a tight match throughout with Inter Atlanta, which scored its lone goal on their only shot from open play.

“The heat was a major factor,” Paul DesRosier mentioned of the Dallas weather, which was 100 degrees with 31 percent humidity on Tuesday. “We actually had a few really great opportunities with Vivien Villarreal hitting the post twice in the second half. It was a very competitive and physical game.”
