Sun Belt College League All-Star rosters set for game on Sunday

The Sun Belt College League has named its rosters for the All-Star Game at Kino Stadium on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Gates are open at 5 p.m. and player introductions will be held at 5:50 p.m.

The Sun Belt League features college players from across the nation with most coming from Southern Arizona.

Among the All-Stars are 11 players at Division I programs:

  • INF Nick Arias (Tucson High School grad) — Grand Canyon
  • RHP Michael Bacica — Enrolled at Arizona with intent to walk on after pitching at Stetson and Maine
  • RHP Marcus Delgado (CDO) — New Mexico State
  • C/OF Caleb Herd (Cienega) — New Mexico
  • OF Terrell Huggins (Cienega) — North Dakota State
  • OF Isaiah Jackson (Cienega) — Arizona State
  • INF Emilio Barreras-Rojo — Grand Canyon
  • LHP Andrew Calloway (Sabino) — Arizona
  • SS Cougar Cooke — Utah Valley (son of former Arizona and Flowing Wells basketball player Troy Cooke)
  • RHP Adam Grintz — Tulane
  • OF Milo Rushford (Walden Grove) — New Mexico State

Five of the players are at Pima College:

  • INF Nikolas Gardoni (Ironwood Ridge)
  • CF/SS Elijah Reeves (Marana)
  • INF Dante Schindler (CDO)
  • 3B/P Benji Cazares (Tucson)
  • OF Isaiah Pintor (CDO)
