Tucson (3-0-2) is currently in second place (until the formula below is applied) in the Desert Conference of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) with SC del Sol in the lead at 4-1-1. Arsenal is in third place at 3-1-1. SC del Sol has 13 points, Tucson has 11 and Arsenal 10 but you will notice SC del Sol has one more match added to their point total which came about due to Tucson and Atomic City FC (2-3) not playing a match last week due to lightning.

The point total for that match will be determined based on the average point total for the season. As of now, that formula would add two points to the Tucson total which would bump the club up to 13.

SC del Sol plays at Arsenal Saturday night in another huge battle and then Tucson will finish out the regular season with a trip to SC del Sol on Saturday, July 9. The conference championship might be decided on this final night.

Tucson is undefeated in the last 19 matches dating back to 2019.
