Sabino junior receiver Savaughn Berryhill, of the famed Berryhill receiving family, is the APS Digital Print/Frog & Firkin Player of the Week following his nine receptions for 198 yards with two touchdowns in the Sabercats’ 73-40 win over visiting Sequoia Pathway on Friday.
The 198 yards is a career-high for Berryhill, who is the younger brother of former Arizona receiver Stanley Berryhill III. Savaughn’s younger brother Shamar is a sophomore standout receiver with Sabino.
Savaughn earned a banner from APS Digital Print and a Frog and Firkin Football for his efforts.
