Noteworthy: Only lose one player from last season and return everyone else. … Edwards is a four-year varsity starter who averaged 27 points and 12 rebounds last season. He has surpassed 1,000 points in his career. All five seniors and six of the eight juniors had significant varsity minutes last year.
Coach’s comments: “We have the best freshman class we’ve ever had in my six years, with four freshmen fighting for significant varsity minutes. … We have 18 legitimate varsity basketball players. We have great team camaraderie. Our gym is the most competitive and most energetic practice environment we’ve ever had. We are still really young, We are not elite yet, but I’m bullish that we can be.”
