Noteworthy: Ironwood Ridge returns seven players from last year’s roster that made the state quarterfinals. … Daron Cross is 39-35 in his fourth season at Ironwood Ridge after coaching the Tucson boys team to a 75-65 record in five seasons (2013-18). … The Nighthawks are 10-4 after going 6-2 in two holiday tournaments in late December. … Sidney Anderson, only a sophomore, leads Ironwood Ridge averaging 18.5 points a game. … Annalise Holthaus, a daughter of Pima women’s coach Todd Holthaus, leads the Nighthawks with 8.4 rebounds a game. … Ben Chulick, the Arizona Bowl vice president of marketing and events who was the marketing director at Arizona for 10 years before that, has a daughter who is a freshman with the Nighthawks — Annika.
