D2 Boys Wrestling: Mountain View’s Miranda & CDO’s Luke earn titles


PHOENIX — Marana Mountain View finished sixth with in the D2 boys state wrestling competition behind the 132-pound championship earned by Daniel Miranda on Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Ironwood won the team competition.

Miranda’s championship came against Giosue Hickman of Canyon View by a 5-0 decision.

Canyon del Oro’s Kayden Luke closed out his 51-0 junior season with a championship in the 215-pound weight class.

He defeated James DuComb of Arcadia by fall in 5:15 in the title match.
