D4 Boys Wrestling: Morenci wins third straight title; Willcox earns three individual titles


PHOENIX — Morenci won the D3 boys state wrestling championship behind three individual champions and Willcox placed fourth with also three titlists in Saturday’s competition at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Morenci has won three consecutive state titles and 10 overall.

The Wildcats’ state champions Saturday were Jaeden Seballos (120 pounds), Noah Torres (138) and John Provencio (150). They also had five other wrestlers place in the top 6 of their weight classes.

Willcox’s individual state champions are Oren Allsup (157), Kash Macumber (165) and Ed Tingle (215).

San Manuel’s Raymond Garcia won the 113-pound championship.
