Ironwood Ridge junior Lucy Newell shot a 3-under-par 69 to win the Prescott Invitational held Friday at the Antelope Hill Golf Club. Newell beat Chaparral sophomore Isabel Helgemoe by three strokes
As a team, the Nighthawks (416) took tenth place and Chaparral (318) beat Horizon (335) and Highland (335). Newell is ranked No. 6 in Division II and she becomes eligible to compete at state as an individual with one more qualifying round.
