The No. 5 Pima men’s soccer team (5-1, 2-1 in ACCAC) beat Scottsdale Community College 2-0 Tuesday night for their fourth shutout win this season. It was the second meeting between the two programs this season as the Aztecs beat Scottsdale 5-0 on Aug. 29 on the road.
Brandon Sanchez (Canyon del Oro) put the Aztecs on the scoreboard in the 13th minute with a penalty kick and the Aztecs added to their lead in the 32nd minute when Missael Montilla (Tucson) scored with an assist from sophomore Daniel Ehler (Marana).
The Aztecs outshot the Artichokes 13-6 and keeper Jose Carlos Ortiz (Nogales) finished the game with four saves. The Aztecs host Glendale on Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Field. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
