Catalina Foothills junior standout Finn Meister announced his commitment to play golf for the University of Mississippi. Meister is currently ranked No.2 in Division II and No. 3 overall with the state playoffs for boys starting on Oct. 26.

“I’m super excited to play for Ole Miss and the SEC,” Meister said. “I’ve been working hard to play high level Division 1 golf so it feels awesome to commit to a school like Ole Miss. My dad and I have been to so many tournaments in the past few years and to know our hard work and determination has paid off is a great feeling.”

As a team, the Falcons are ranked No. 1 in D-II with the returning state team champion Ironwood Ridge ranked No. 2. Meister took second place last year, two strokes behind former Salpointe standout Carlos Astiazaran and he came in seventh place as a freshman. The Falcons took third place last fall.

“Our team is playing well heading into state, we’re feeling good and super excited to compete,” Meister added.
