BRANDON BEAN SOCCER TOURNAMENT AT KINO SPORTS COMPLEX
The Salpointe girls beat Mica Mountain 2-0 on opening day of the Brandon Bean Invitational held at the Kino Sports Complex this week. Salpointe (1-0) controlled the match with 15 shots with sophomore Kealia Nansen scoring in the 34th minute and freshman Jhianae DesRosier scoring in the 41st. Mica Mountain (0-1) had three shots on goal.
Bracket play starts on Thursday and the championship matches will be held Friday in the stadium.
