Dec. 27-30: Mesa Legacy Park
The Cienega girls and the Sunnyside boys won the Arizona Showcase this past week held at the Legacy Park complex in Mesa. Javier Gonzalez scored in the 60th minute to move Sunnyside past Hamilton on Saturday and Shania Walters and Hazel Ramos scored for Cienega in the 2-0 championship final against Eastmark. For Cienega, Alawna Goodin ended the weekend with four goals and Bella Holly gave up only two goals in five matches.
