The Gregory School caps 28-3 season with 1A state championship

Top-seeded The Gregory School capped its 28-3 season with a 55-52 win Saturday over North Valley Christian in the 1A state championship game at Prescott.

David El, Jackson Dickinson and Ben Head each scored in double figures as The Gregory School claimed its first state championship since 2019.

The Gregory School (formerly St. Gregory) has now won five titles since 2008. The Hawks won the title in 2008, 2009, 2018, 2019 and this season.

The Hawks (28-3) finished the season with a 19-game winning streak.

Freshman standout Razin Smith had eight points before fouling out in the fourth quarter.

North Valley Christian finished 22-10.
