Caleb Love is the Pac-12’s Player of the Year in Arizona’s last of 45 seasons in the conference.
Is is the 11th player of the year selection for the program (the 10th player overall because Sean Elliott won it twice), so that means an Arizona player has been chosen as the elite player of the conference an average of once every four years.
In conference games only, Love ranked second in the league in scoring (20.0 points a game) while converting a league-high 59 three pointers.
Love has been a contender for the Wooden, Naismith, Robertson and Cousy national awards all season.
He led Arizona to the outright Pac-12 regular-season title.
The league’s fourth-leading scorer at 18.7 points per game, Love has played well away from home — averaging a league-best 20.1 points in 15 games away from McKale Center.
