Baja Arizona Notes: Ana Rodriguez threw a no-hitter, Kaitlyn Lopez to coach soccer and Gabriel Escalera wins fourth golf tournament

Former Tucson High standout pitcher Ana Rodriguez threw a no-hitter for Monmouth University in a 4-0 victory over Towson on Sunday.

Former Ironwood Ridge and University of Arizona soccer standout Kaitlyn Lopez is the new head soccer coach for Legacy Ranch High School located north of Austin, Texas. “We’re going to put the LEGACY in Legacy Ranch,” Lopez wrote, “I couldn’t be more excited to be a Wrangler. We have such a special opportunity and I’m so honored to be part of it.”

Former Walden Grove standout golfer Gabriel Escalera won the Verhille Invitational by four strokes for Hastings College. He shot a 1-under 143. It was his fourth victory of the year.
