NOTE: This is a compilation of stats involving players from Southern Arizona and the Arizona Wildcats’ program in MLB-sanctioned leagues (MLB and minor leagues). The list does not include players in foreign leagues or independent leagues in the U.S.
Former Arizona standout Tanner O’Tremba is looking for a new baseball organization after his release from the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. The move went largely unannounced except on the wire services. O’Tremba was batting .194 with eight doubles, a triple, four home runs, 25 RBIs and 10 stolen bases at High Single-A Eugene (Ore.). He struck out 68 times and had 24 walks. He was drafted in the 15th round (466th pick overall) by the Giants in 2022. He played for the Giants’ rookie-league team in 2022 and with Single-A San Jose and then Eugene last season. In 82 games at San Jose last season, he showed promise, batting .271 with 21 doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 50 RBIs and 17 stolen bases. Strikeouts have been issue with him striking out 75 times at San Jose and 82 times compared to 44 hits in his two seasons at Eugene (67 games/219 at-bats).
