Former Salpointe and two-time Arizona individual state champion Mackenzie McRee won the 2024 Rocket Classic hosted by Toledo. The Ohio University junior helped lead the Bobcats to a team championship for the first time since 2017.
McRee (76-72-73) shot a 5-over par 221 at the Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton to hold off Central Michigan standout Ella Zanatta by one stroke (222: 72-75-75). Ohio beat Akron by three strokes.
McRee won the AIA Division II championship in 2018 and again in 2021.
