Thatcher (9-2) got off to a 28-0 lead in the first quarter in the game at Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher. … RB Tristun Brown had rushing touchdowns in the second and third quarters to help increase the lead. … RB Will Chedester also had a touchdown run. … ATH Cade Winkler scored on a 65-yard kickoff return for Thatcher’s last score of the game.
Next for the Eagles: Quarterfinal game with No. 6 Florence on Friday at 7 p.m. at EAC. Florence (10-1) defeated No. 11 Wickenburg 21-7 at home on Friday night.

Pusch Ridge QB Jacob Newborn rushed for two touchdowns and then threw a 60-yard TD pass to Elliot Lovett to help the Lions get off to a 20-0 lead by the third quarter and they dominated from there to improve to 10-1.
Next up for the Lions: Quarterfinal game at home against No. 12 Paradise Honors (7-4) on Friday at 7 p.m. Paradise Honors, which lost to Sabino in the 3A championship game last year, upset No. 5 Mohave 34-24 on the road on Friday night.

No. 6 Bisbee 33, No. 11 Camp Verde 20
Bisbee QB/DB Sebastian Lopez had his eighth interception of the season and he also passed for 157 yards with a touchdown and rushed 10 times for 111 yards with two touchdowns in Friday’s victory at home for the Pumas (10-1). … RB Bryceton Meyer rushed for 137 yards on 14 carries with a touchdown. … WR Hunter Wright totaled four receptions for 144 yards and a touchdowns. … LB Xavier Montiel returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown.
Next up for the Pumas: Quarterfinal game with Bisbee traveling to play No. 3 Pima (10-1) on Friday. Pima is coming off a 44-27 win at home against No. 14 St. Johns on Friday night.
No. 8 Scottsdale Prep 27, No. 9 Willcox 21
Willcox ends it season at 7-4 under first-year coach Jeston Lotts. The Cowboys could not hold on to a 14-0 lead after two Ismael Cuevas rushing touchdowns. Landon Ward, the top rusher in Southern Arizona, also scored on the ground.
1A SEMIFINAL
No. 1 Hayden 53, No. 4 St. David 6
Hayden won its 23rd consecutive game dating to last season in the overwhelming win over St. David, which finished its season 9-2. The defending state champion Lobos (11-0) will play either No. 2 Bagdad or No. 3 Mogollon in next week’s championship game at Coronado High School in Scottsdale next Saturday at 6 p.m. Bagdad and Mogollon play Saturday night in the other semifinal game at Coronado.
