Four local football standouts sign with Division I programs



Receivers Dezmen Roebuck of Marana and Morgan Quiri of Salpointe, and Quiri’s Lancer teammates Bruno Fina, an offensive tackle, and Braydyn Sage, a long snapper, are officially headed to Division I programs.

Roebuck signed with Washington, Quiri with Western Illinois, Fina with Duke and Sage with New Mexico State.

ROEBUCK

Roebuck, 6-foot and 175 pounds, signed with former Arizona coach Jedd Fisch, who maintained his recruitment of the Marana star after leaving to Washington.

Roebuck was recently named the Arizona 5A Southern Region Player of the Year by coaches. He also was selected to the All-5A Southern Region first team at defensive back and receiver, and to the second-team as a kick returner.

Significant reason why Marana was the No. 1 seed in the Open Division playoffs. The Tigers finished 10-1.

He caught 79 passes for 1,002 yards and 13 touchdowns and had 44 tackles and four interceptions as a safety.

He finished as the state’s career record holder with 352 receptions and is second with 4,239 yards.

QUIRI

Quiri, 6-foot-5 and 175 pounds, was named a First-Team All-6A Central wide receiver in his junior and senior years at Salpointe after transferring from Pusch Ridge.

He finished with 36 catches for 748 yards with five touchdowns.

He also played club football with the Tucson Turf for 12 years in which he was a part of the No. 1-ranked 7v7 team multiple times.

FINA

Fina, 6-4 and 250, is a three-star prospect as rated by 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals.

His father John lettered three seasons in football at Arizona (1989-91). The elder Fina earned second-team All-Pac-10 honors and team captain recognition in 1991 while being tabbed a three-time Pac-10 All-Academic Team honoree (1989-91). He was a first-round draft choice of the Buffalo Bills (27th pick overall) in the 1992 NFL Draft and spent 11 seasons in the NFL with the Bills (1992-2001) and Arizona Cardinals (2002), starting 131 of 155 games played. He participated in two Super Bowls (Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII). Earned induction into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.

His brother Bruno (also a Salpointe grad) is already at Duke as an offensive lineman after transferring there from UCLA.

Roman started at right tackle as a junior, earning all-region honors and helping Salpointe to the 6A state semifinals. As a senior, shifted to left tackle and guided team to the state quarterfinals 

He earned an additional varsity letter as a pitcher for the baseball program.

SAGE

Sage, 6-foot and 180, received 4.5 stars and is rated the No. 34 long snapper in the class of 2025, according to Rubio Long Snapping.

He appeared in eight games at Salpointe and helped guide the Lancers to an 8-3 overall record and a 4-0 region record.
