Former Marana basketball standout Wes Ball averaged 16 points and six rebounds over the last four games for Pima; including a 27-point, 10-rebound double-double outburst in Pima’s 95-92 win over Dawson Community College. He shot 70 percent from the field (26-37) and 71 percent from the free throw line (12-17). His efforts earned him ACCAC D-II Player of the Week honors.
Former Salpointe football standout Bruno Fina (Duke), Ironwood Ridge football standout Dylan Cook (Morehead State) and former Pusch Ridge football standout Tyler Mustain (Arizona) were named CSC Academic All-District.
This list will be updated all year in an effort to recognize all former local prep stars who have gone on to win either academic and/or athletic awards at the next level.
