Ironwood Ridge grad Reatta Danhof of Pima breaks school record in third straight meet

Pima sophomore Reatta Danhof (Ironwood Ridge graduate) broke her third Indoor school record in as many weeks as she took first place in the 1,000-meter race with a time of 3 minutes, 00.39 seconds at the Central Arizona Indoor Invitational at Coolidge.

Danhof also set an Indoor national qualifying time.

Danhof broke Mary Siml’s time of 3:03.44 set in 2019.

Danhof went into the race listed at No. 3 in Pima school history as her previous best was at 3:11.67.

Pima sophomore Linda Rivera (Desert View) and freshman Ella Allred (Benson) set new school standards in the 1,000 meters reshaping the top five. Rivero finished in second place with a time of 3:07.36, which moved her to the No. 3 spot behind Siml. Allred took third place in the race with a time of 3:07.78. Her finishing time put her at No. 4 in Pima school history.

The Aztec men and women will next compete in the Glendale Community College Indoor Invitational on Saturday.
