The Arizona women’s basketball team defeated Texas Tech 66-57 on Tuesday night, achieving its third straight win with senior Isis Beh the leading scorer with 15 points on Senior Night at McKale Center.
“We found a way to make plays and get the job done,” said Arizona coach Adia Barnes. “Even though at times (we) had some mental lapses, the main thing is this time you’re getting a win.”
Beh had her third straight double-digit scoring game with all the games resulting in wins for the Wildcats (18-12, 9-8 Big 12).
“I really wanted to give my best effort this year and do all I can for the team,” Beh said.
Beh also mentioned during the postgame interview on ESPN+ that she may have another year of eligibility, according to a text message from Barnes on Monday.
Isis Beh was at the JC level in 2020-21 — in which she did not compete because of COVID-19 — after her freshman season at UNLV in 2019-20.

Beh and fellow senior Ajae Yoakum were the honorary “Bang the Drum” players after the game.
“She’s a testament why I always say hard work pays off,” Barnes said of Beh. “What’s she’s proven is anybody can do it.”
Jada Williams had 14 points in the winning effort and Paulina Paris added 11 points.
“We had a lot of turnovers. I think we fixed it in the second half,” Paris said of the Wildcats’ 20 turnovers.
The Wildcats were able to force Texas Tech (14-16, 3-14) into 23 turnovers during which the Wildcats showed zone for some possessions.
“I’m not a zone person, but we have a personnel to play zone sometimes,” Barnes said.

Freshman Montaya Dew chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds off the bench.
Dew went down with an injury but Barnes confirmed postgame it does not seem major.
With starter Breya Cunningham in foul trouble for most of the game, Dew stepped up to score her most points in over a month.
“I think we’re exactly where we want to be,” Barnes said of the possibility of ending the regular season with four straight wins.
Arizona closes the regular season on Saturday at Arizona State (9-19, 3-13).
The Big 12 women’s basketball tournament starts next Wednesday at Kansas City.
