
Amelia Streuber is the ace of the top team in the state with her 10-0 record and 0.65 ERA in the circle for the 16-0 Dorados, who are ranked No. 15 nationally by MaxPreps.
Streuber, who has signed to play at Oregon State, went 4-0 with a 0.64 ERA (only two earned runs allowed in 22 innings) in the month of March. She had 47 strikeouts with just four walks in the month.
Tucson High, Casa Grande, Maricopa and Cienega mustered only four hits combined against her in those four games.
She pitched a five-inning no-hitter in a 15-0 victory against Maricopa on March 10.
She recently reached 50 victories and 500 strikeouts in her career. She is presently at 51-9 with a 1.32 ERA with 519 strikeouts and 80 walks in her four-year varsity career.
For her performance in March and how she has led the Dorados to be one of the top teams in the nation, Streuber is the Jet Sports Training Female Athlete of the Month.
