Jet Sports Training owner Bobby Rodriguez and director of sports performance Jose Felix enhance the community not only physically and mentally with determination and endurance in their southside training facility near Park Avenue and Ajo Way.
They impact the community through inspiration of individuals and support of local agencies that put the community first with their operation.
On Tuesday night in a packed El Casino Ballroom, Jet Sports Training went above and beyond in their community service efforts by honoring youth, high school, and adult athletes and staff.
“The parents, members and athletes at Jet deserve to be honored for all the time and sacrifices they make every day,” Rodriguez told the crowd.

Athletes from youth football to high school sports to college athletics and also adults who train at Jet Sports Training were presented awards at the annual event.
Michael Bravo, grandfather of Sunnyside legendary wrestler Roman Bravo–Young, was honored as the Coach of the Year because he still trains and mentors young athletes at Jet Sports Training.
Elizabeth Valenzuela-Smith, a world-class wrestler who is a two-time state champion as a sophomore at Pueblo, was honored as the Athlete of the Year.
Mica Mountain quarterback Jayden Thoreson, who is bound for Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, was awarded the Jet Sports Training Foundation scholarship.
Pueblo football coach Sly Lewis, whose team is trained by Jet Sports Training coaches, was honored for his program’s commitment to training and improvement.
Bravo-Young, who competed for Mexico in the 2024 Paris Olympics, and Sunnyside graduate Audrey Jimenez, who reached the finals of the U.S. Olympic team trials, were honored as two of the International Athletes of the Year.
Many high school athletes were honored for state championships and all-state selections.
