At least 16 players from Southern Arizona high schools are involved in national baseball tournaments involving NCAA Division II and III and NAIA programs this week.
NCAA DIVISION II
RHP Cole Bramhall, Lenoir-Rhyne (N.C.), Cienega High School. Lenoir plays in the Southeast Regional at Belmont (N.C.) starting Thursday.
RHP Emiliano Mata, Arkansas Tech, Douglas High School. Arkansas Tech plays in the Central Regional at Warrensburg (Mo.) starting Wednesday.

1B Daniel Montaña, Maryville (Tenn.), Cienega High School. Maryville plays in the Lynchburg (Va.) Regional starting Friday.
NAIA
OF Logan Sanders, Arizona Christian, Catalina Foothills High School. Arizona Christian plays in the Lakeland (Fla.) Regional starting Tuesday.
SS Marcus Sanders, Arizona Christian, Catalina Foothills High School. Logan and Marcus are sons of former Santa Rita and MLB standout Anthony Sanders, who is now the first base coach of the Baltimore Orioles.

INF Francisco Aldan-Sablan, Dickinson (N.D.) State, Sahuaro High School. Dickinson State began play in the NAIA national tournament Monday and lost to Oregon Tech 4-2 at Lewiston (Idaho) Regional. The Blue Hawks next play in the elimination bracket Tuesday.
