
Tucson High School graduate Tenochtli Eli Nepan Ollin earned the Gatorade MVP award after leading his Diamondbacks team to the championship of the 2025 Nike RBI West Regional Tournament Seniors Division at Seattle on Sunday.
Ollin, who graduated in May and is headed to Central Arizona College, led the D-Backs Nike RBI Seniors to a 5-0 record in the tournament.
The Diamondbacks, who feature other former Tucson High players such as Juan Hernandez and Gennaro Brito, will next play in the Nike RBI Senior World Series starting Sunday at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Fla. The games will be streamed live on MLB.com.

The Nike RBI World Series is a tournament for teams participating in MLB’s Nike RBI program, which provides baseball and softball opportunities to youth in underserved communities.
Ollin went 2-0 without allowing an earned run in eight innings in the West Regional. He gave up only one hit while striking out four and walking one.
His RBI single in the sixth inning broke a tie with the BBB Nike RBI Seniors and sparked a four-run rally in the championship game, won by his team 7-3 on Sunday.
Nepan Ollin earned the victory on the mound, pitching four hitless innings of relief. He struck out two and walked one.
