His performance the last two weeks has Arizona excited about the prospects of him in the starting lineup for the 2026-27 as a 6-foot-5 and 200-pound shooting guard.
The roster is in flux.
Dwayne Aristode, a 6-8 wing player, entered the transfer portal Saturday, joining forward Sidi Gueye.
Brayden Burries, Holt’s predecessor, is projected to be an NBA Draft Lottery Pick.
He played for the USA U19 team along with Koa Peat under coach Tommy Lloyd last summer. Holt cited the experience as a primary reason for his trust in Lloyd and the Arizona program.
Holt exhibited in the Nike Hoops Summit game his elite downhill attacking style. He is physically imposing, explosive at the rim, and a high-level defender who can guard multiple positions.
He is an efficient finisher and a strong playmaker with an improving perimeter game.
He made 9 of 18 shots from the field, including a 5-of-9 performance from 3-point range in the Nike Hoops Summit game. He had five turnovers to go with his two assists, but his abundance of rebounds and steals and scoring output overshadowed everything.
