Former Tucson High and Pima standout Jordan Robinson signed with Division II Humboldt State on Sunday. Robinson averaged 12 points a game for the Badgers before moving over to play for Pima.
“My experience at Pima is indescribable; it’s a bond that is unbreakable from my teammates to my coaches,” Robinson said in a release from the program. “They had my back the whole three years I was there and I had theirs. They helped me mature and helped me to become a better basketball player.”
Robinson played and started in all 32 games for Pima this season, averaging 13.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.6 steals. He shot 41.8 percent from the field and was 79.9 percent from the free throw line as the Aztecs went 19-13 this season.
“I chose Humboldt State University because I felt like the program can help me develop as a basketball player and as a man,” Robinson said. “I felt welcomed when the coach talked to me and my mom to personally get to know us.”
The Lumberjacks compete in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, associated with the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
