Winter Playoffs: Boys Basketball Play-Ins and Boys Wrestling Sectionals begin on Friday

Flowing Wells over Flagstaff 3-0 in Play-In action

Noel Lubashu scored in the first 38 seconds to put No. 9 Flowing Wells up 1-0 on No. 24 Flagstaff in the 4A Conference Play-In Tournament Thursday night and the Caballeros played on from there for a 3-0 victory to claim a spot in the state tournament scheduled to start on Tuesday.

Flagstaff ended the season 5-4-4 in ranking matches and Flowing Wells improved to 9-4-1. The Caballeros will find out where they will be playing when the brackets are released on Saturday.

Luis Reyes put Flowing Wells up 2-0 in the 35th minute and Emmanuel Bernal scored the third goal in the 47th minute.
