Despite leading 7-0 going into the fifth inning on Sunday, following two home runs by Tayler Biehl, No. 19 Arizona could not hold on to beat No. 9 UCLA in Los Angeles in the last Pac-12 series between the traditional rivals.

Arizona lost 11-7 after UCLA scored all its runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

UCLA took the series, the last of its kind in the Pac-12 between the rivals, winning two of three games.

Arizona (32-15-1, 13-11 Pac-12) concludes its regular season Tuesday against Grand Canyon at Hillenbrand Stadium at 7 p.m.

The Wildcats will then wait to play in the Pac-12 tournament that starts May 8 at Stanford.

Biehl led the Wildcats with three RBIs against UCLA (30-10, 14-4).

The Wildcats scored three runs in the top of the first behind a pair of RBI singles by Allie Skaggs and Carlie Scupin.

In the second, Biehl hit her fifth home run of the season – a solo homer to right field – to give Arizona a 4-0 lead.

Arizona added three more in the third inning to take a 7-0 lead. DiNardo drove in her second run of the game with another sac fly and Biehl blasted a two-run home run.

UCLA tied the game at 7-7 in the bottom of the fifth after entering that inning without a hit in the game against Aissa Silva.

The Bruins scored first on a solo home run. They added two more on a two-run double and tied the game with a grand slam by former Arizona catcher Sharlize Palacios.

Silva was relieved by Brooke Mannon (5-3) after Palacios’ home run.

The Bruins took an 11-7 lead in the sixth with four runs on two RBI singles and a two-run single. Mannon was relieved by Miranda Stoddard in the inning.
