Salpointe graduate and Arizona standout shortstop Mason White went 1 for 4 with an RBI single in his professional debut Saturday night with the Single-A Salem (Va.) Red Sox of the Boston Red Sox organization. He also had a walk and a strikeout. Salem won the game 6-3 over the host Lynchburg (Va.) Hillcats of the Cleveland Guardians organization. White’s former Arizona teammate Cam Walty is with the Hillcats. Walty, a starter, did not pitch Saturday and is not slated to start in the series finale Sunday.
