NOTES
— The Salt Lake Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles, had a couple of former Arizona players with standout performances on Thursday night in a 15-12 win over the visiting Las Vegas Aces. Scott Kingery belted two solo home runs and right-hander Chase Silseth is making the most of his new role out of the bullpen, earning his first save of his pro career. Silseth, who played on the 2021 team that made the College World Series, was primarily a starter in his minor-league career with the Angels. He had 45 starts out of his 50 appearances in the minors before coming out of the bullpen in his last five games. He has gone on the injured list four times, primarily because of elbow problems, so this is a move to alleviate the stress in addition to Silseth’s ability to attack batters in a brief amount of time. Kingery, 31, equaled his home run output for Salt Lake coming into the game with his two home runs. It is the second time in his pro career that he has belted two home runs in a game, matching the feat from last year when he was with Triple-A Lehigh Valley (Pa.) of the Philadelphia Phillies organization.

— Former Salpointe and Arizona shortstop Mason White had another first with Single-A Salem (Va.) of the Boston Red Sox organization with his first stolen base of his pro career.
— Another first: Former Arizona right-hander T.J. Nichols earned his first win at the Double-A level with the Montgomery (Ala.) of the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He scattered six hits in six innings without allowing an earned run. He struck out five and walked two in Montgomery’s 7-0 win over Pensacola (Fla.) of the Miami Marlins organization.
