The Chamber of Southern Arizona mentions in an advertisement for Tuesday’s Desert Diamond Casino Athletics Rally at Gentle Ben’s: “We’re bringing the energy back for a pep rally like no other—celebrating all things Southern Arizona sports!”
In the event held last year, Gentle Ben’s (865 E. University Boulevard near the University of Arizona) was packed with men’s basketball coach Tommy Lloyd and mascots such as Dusty the Roadrunner on hand.
Event organizers are promising for Tuesday’s event (which goes from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.):
