— RHP Hunter Alberini, who completed his lone season at Arizona in June, achieved his first professional save at Single-A+ Quad Cities (Iowa) of the Kansas City Royals organization on Tuesday night. The Las Vegas native pitched a perfect two innings with four strikeouts in the 5-1 win over Wisconsin of the Milwaukee Brewers organization. In a recent video interview introducing him to Quad Cities fans, Alberini talked about his experience at Arizona. “Tucson just refined the mental game, kind of getting a real good routine, almost a big-league routine,” Alberini said. “The pitching coaches there were amazing. I’d say just refining my mental skill. Getting a good strategy going into a game really helped me, my performance and preparation.” He also talked about owning a couple of beehives and producing his own honey and being active in the stock market.
