Palo Verde senior Isaac Ndatimana, who played on the offensive line and defensive line his first three varsity seasons, was pressed into duty as a running back Friday at ALA-Anthem South, and he delivered on both sides of the ball in the 28-14 victory.
Ndatimana rushed for 141 yards on 19 carries with three touchdowns.
The 5-foot-10 and 210-pound standout recorded 14 tackles as a defensive end, and he also returned a kickoff 75 yards.
The Zimbabwe native did not play football until he joined Palo Verde’s program as a freshman.
For his performance against ALA-Anthem South, Ndatimana is the Week 2 APS Digital Print/Frog & Firkin Player of the Week.
