
The Pima Community College women’s soccer team, which earned the NJCAA Region I, Division II/West District championship last week, will be the No. 6 seed in the NJCAA Division II national tournament that starts Monday at Wichita, Kan.
The Aztecs’ men’s team earned the No. 7 seed as an at-large team in its national tournament that will also be held at Wichita.
The women’s pool play includes Pima (13-1-5) first playing No. 10 Sussex (N.J.) County on Monday and against No. 3 Heartland (Ill.) on Tuesday. Both games are at 2:15 p.m., Tucson.
The men’s team (16-3) will open against No. 11 St. Clair County (Mich.) .on Monday in pool play. The Aztecs will then play No. 2 Iowa Lakes on Tuesday. Both games will start at 11:45 a.m., Tucson time.
Pima fell to Phoenix College in the NJCAA Region I, Division II finals last week.
All the games of the NJCAA Division II national tournament will be played at the Stryker Sports Complex and will be streamed live on the NJCAA Network.
