Former Sunnyside wrestler Audrey Jimenez (20-0) of Lehigh is the top seed of the NCAA Inaugural Women’s Wrestling Championships in the 110-pound division. Jimenez is now in the semifinal round slated for Saturday morning against No. 5 Nyla Valencia (25-3) of Iowa.
Adelaide 36ers guard Bryce Cotton (Palo Verde) earned the National Basketball League (NBL) MVP Award, the Andrew Gaze Trophy, for a sixth time.
Brian Peabody, Isaiah Hill, Lillian Gradillas-Flores, Dylan Arvayo, Bria Medina, Kylee Callahan, Nayeli Nidez Acuna, Belen Camacho, Destanee Nez and Analise Montiel earned collegiate honors.
