Pima freshman Elizabeth Ugwu (Sahuaro) finished eighth in the Shot Put at the NJCAA Indoor Championships as she broke her own school record with a mark of 13.22 meters (43-4.50). Ugwu earned All-American status and one team point for the Aztecs.
The Pima 3200 relay team of freshman Danny Knapp (Rio Rico), Eduardo Aviles (Vista Grande), sophomore Tayvien Biancuzzo (Mica Mountain) and freshman Noah Macias (Mica Mountain) broke the Pima school record with a time of 7:42.37 at the NJCAA Indoor Championships.
